Our Past, Present, and Future
TOPS Staffing was founded in San Diego in 1974. We quickly gained a reputation for our exceptional customer service, our ability to accurately assess the needs of our clients, and our talent for matching skills with opportunities. In the years since, we have provided staffing services to a wide range of clients, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. TOPS' client partnerships have grown to include companies in a variety of industries, including banking and finance, manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, biomedical, major retail, telecommunications, and software.
In the late 1990's we joined forces with SOS Staffing Services, a company that is also dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to clients and candidates. Founded in 1973 in Salt Lake City, SOS Staffing Services has quickly grown to become one of the largest and most well respected staffing companies in the United States.
TOPS Staffing, SOS Staffing Services, and our affiliates currently form a network of over 130 branches in seventeen states. Together we employ more than 70,000 temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire candidates each year and service more than 8,000 clients.
TOPS Staffing continues to stay active in local and national organizations, including various chambers of commerce, human-resource groups, and industry associations. We are a long-standing member of the American Staffing Association as well as other industry associations. Our involvement with these organizations enables us to stay current on staffing industry information, employment legislation, and national trends that affect our clients and candidates.
